Barrett Jackson has this odd 612 on the block this week. Anyone familiar with this car? 2005 FERRARI 612 SCAGLIETTI F-1 ZFFAA54A850140176 Ugly graphics. Spoiler. blacked out lights. is the color stock?
Mike- Looks like Argento Nurburgring, a stock color. Wing really does it for me. The other "paint" is likely just tape.
Actually, I think the color is a matte finish. May still be stock, but it's not glossy. The yellow/CF graphics are tape that will probably peel off. Says clean carfax.
I've seen that car up for sale before. There have been several attempts to emphasize the scallops with unique paint schemes etc. Not sure how well these concepts are accepted.
I think I have seen this before for sale with different wheels -- really big chrome and black things, IIRC. I'm all for trying something unique, but this one really misses the mark.
you would have to get a new decklid i think. that wing attachment will have screwed up the trunk badly. then to match a matte paint is super hard, so likely the whole thing might have to be repainted. the cf tape bs might come off easily, might not. cheap could get expensive really quickly.
My over/under on this one is $85k. I think there are better cars in the market that can be had for that price.
I don't mind the livery stripes and hopefully a hairdryer could peel it all off, but that wing. It looks like some honda civic tune. Hideous.
I'd think you could back the holes from the with a little fiberglass and then fill them with a little bondo, sand and paint.
much better cars without issue to be found cheaper than that. this car looks like it was owned by an abuser so it will be priced accordingly. i think it goes for around 50k. at that price its a good deal.
This, unless there's a ton of deferred maintenance, stickies, dash leather, basically the worst example imaginable.
Early 612's are always a lot of car for the money. I think the seller did well. If it's fully up to date, recent major, no suspension issues, no leaks anywhere, and you get a deal on removing the wing and a good paint match, that price is about right I guess.
LOL...you guys kill me...I saw it on TV and laughed, and then come here for the funny follow-up. Well done.
