Could any owners of the 599 Aperta post a photo of their #/80 plaque? How many cars are missing the plaque?

These cars like the majority of Ferrari's special editions doesn't have a serial number. Just 1/499 for example.

    :)

That is wrong. But I didn't ask about the serial number anyway. The "1/499 for example" (or 80 in this eg.) plaque is what I am looking for. I want to know what they did after they had built the 80th car and got started on the 81st. There have to be cars out there without the plaque, or if the people at Ferrari were really stupid (I wouldn't put it past them),.......... you know the rest.

There threads on this already Joseph. From memory, Ferrari started to put no 1/2/3 etc of 80 but soon went back to 1 of 80 so there are lots saying 1 of 80.

Thanks. Then they really are as stupid as I had always thought. They should have just stopped with the plaques after the 80th car.

Why? If the 120th car says 1/80 and so does the 60th, who is to know the difference except a serial number collector? Doubt anybody is going to sue over Ferrari building a "few" extra Apertas.

I think most don't have a plaque with any kind of number at all. The dash plaque just says SA Aperta. I think I've seen a picture of one with an x of 80 plaque on here but none of those I've seen in the metal have had one that I've noticed.

You're quite right. I had forgotten about that and wasn't looking there in the pictures I was looking at. My mistake.

I don't think I have ever seen an Aperta without the plaque. It's one of Ferrari's sexiest modern cars but they sure screwed up by double dipping into the plaque bin.

I think this is what the OP was referring to. (not my Pic)..... An extra cost option, and yes, there are at two of at least one number...

That option I believe they would write what you asked them to write. The last truly numbered Ferrari I am aware of is the 550 Barchetta PF.

See? That's what makes it so confusing.
