After months of looking I decided to pull the trigger on this 2010 599 HGTE in Scuderia Red. Just got it delivered last night. Sorry for the poor qualify pictures - (I tried to upload pics directly to this thread but they are coming upside down :(

She is BEAUTIFUL! Any chance its a 6 spd car? I know those are rare but do exist. 599 has a timeless design and your car spec is perfect. I'd lower it a bit and add spacers but that's just personal taste. Thank you for sharing

Thanks! Initially I looked at 599 but decided to step it up to a newer/rarer production car. And found this!

Thanks! I guess we both are happy campers this week! You have a lovely 612.

Thanks! the Rosso Scuderia gives that orangy look that makes the car stand out vs a Rosso Corsa (which I had on my previous 360)

Thanks! I wish it was 6speed manual. It is F1. I don't think I would lower more as it was lowered already with the HGTE Pkg. Plus it will scrape getting in to my garage and everything else LOL
I might do spacers though. Good eye

The MT for the 599 is very rare (less than 50?); but, beyond collectibility, I've heard the F1 version is much better for actual driving in this model.

    Enjoy it!

I was worried about some comments on the F1 and city driving, etc. I was pretty happy with how the F1 shifted going home from the parking lot home. I will take her out later this week/weekend and give my feedback on it :) Can't wait

When shopping for the 612 I was worried about the F1 trans. I have always had manual cars only. Drove a 2005 6-speed three pedal car, loved it but didnt buy it bc it was too rough shape for what the seller wanted. Then i drove a couple early F-1 cars and didn't like them. Fell in love with the OTO and after reading here how happy most folks are with the F1-S, I took a leap of faith, without driving one. I've only driven it a few miles since I got it 2 nights ago but I couldnt be happier. Shift quality, sound, comfort all great! Your HGTE should be even better from what I hear. Enjoy it!

Congrats! They are great cars. The F1 is fantastic once you get the hang of it.

I vote to lower it if you're going with spacers.

The HGTE pkg already lowers the car. Our driveway to the garage is steep and even getting in and out in angle will scrape. I had to put some boards to get in without scraping. I do that with my Porsche GT3 which sits even lower but he front lip is plastic and can be replaced.

I will look into spacers and go from there. The rear seems way tucked in.

I'd suggest skid plates for the front bumper then. Good piece of insurance to prevent bumper damage.

I actually thought about getting these but I have to drill holes into the bumper, correct? I saw some for sale on Ebay

I know some cars use the existing holes for the undertray, but not sure about the 599. Either way it's well worth it and will not detract from the car at all.

Congratulations. Having owned an HGTE for 2 years and covering 20,000 km all I can tell you is that this is one great V12 Ferrari to own and drive. Yours looks great. Classic and timeless. Enjoy in good health.

    Cheers,

    M

It is amazing for a car like this to get poor paint treatment. It had some swirl marks all over paint was not as shiny as you would want. I dropped her off for some detailing. First picture is after a wash. Second pic after polish only. Last 2 after some polish. My detailer says it will look deep and wet looking after he is done. He mentioned interior is like brand new!

Looks great Francisco! Just make sure and drive it, even after the paint surface is perfect.
