Takes all types, perhaps the car was a total and he already did bring it back. Might have been way to expensive to bring back to origional glory?
Well...i've learned from a JDM forum that all his drift cars (LFA, Murielago and now the 599) are with salvage title. Specifically the LFA was totaled in a flood in Japan and the Lambo was rear ended. I haven't read anything about the 599 though.
These cars not sacred. They are machines. As someone said above, there are far worse fates than being transformed into a race car, no matter what kind. They made quite a few 599s. It's not like he bought a SWB Comp and put a Rocket Bunny kit on it. Sheesh.
Put a Ferrari into the competition series is way better than driving around and picking up hookers then crashing into the ditch. Give credit to where it's due. This man is braver than I do with my 599.
I think it's cool. He puts a Ferrari in a sport dominated by Japanese brands, makes good use of a salvage car, and "thins the heard" a little for future 599 collectors. Not everything needs to remain pure.
