OK, finding a few more worn parts I had hoped I wouldn't....

Those pesky little bushings on the upper control arms? I easily found the 360/430 challenge versions, which likely will fit, but are probably made of a different more solid material that would give less for track conditions, and have a harsher ride and reduced longevity.... anyone have a decent source for the original units for a 612 that are reasonable? like NOT $500 per bushing lol.... it needs a BUNCH!

At what mileage should you normally change wishbone bushings?
Doyou need a press to get them out and in again?

Spring for the 2 tools required, do NOT try any other method, the 50 bucks per tool is the best $50 bucks you can spend... the lower easily removed and replaced right in place, and the uppers are so easy to remove the whole arm, it ends up being about 2-3 hours tops for each corner, and that is with another 30-45 minutes included of cleanup time to clean all components with aluminum cleaner and getting them looking new again.

Superperformance sell ball joint extractors for about £50 each, u need different ones for upper and lower. Bear in mind you need the loctite adhesive to glue the ball joints in position.

Super easy to replace the suspension parts... took my time and cleaned all the aluminum parts.... balljoints easy, rear tie rod ends SUPER easy, and steering joints SUPER easy... all replaced with Hill parts... now off to get an alignment once I refurb the 19" 2 piece wheels.... with new rubber so she is sitting perfect before they align it.... any suggestions?

Michelin Pilot Super Sports if they make the correct sizes for 19s.

So I found the sizes, both 19" 245 in front and 285 in rear... Michelin makes these in both Super Sports and Super SPort ZP... any preference?

Dang expensive, like everything else for t his car lol

Go with the Super Sport (MPSS). Great tires. ZP are run flats, I believe.

Affirmative, ZPs are zero pressure or run flat. Used on Corvettes, too.

    Hello,

    I have a 612 with 20" challenge wheels (HGT2 package).
What would be the maximum size of tyres (front+rear) for these rims?

    Regards,

    Andreas

Andreas- Because your front wheels are only 8" in width, 245/35 20 for the MPSS is probably as wide as you want to go in front. OEM 599 size. In the rear, the wheels are only 10" wide on the 612 (11" on the 599), so maximum recommended size for the MPSS is 295/35 20. The next size up, new in 305/35 20 size for the MPSS, OEM size for 599s, recommends 10.5" wide wheels minimum.

All these numbers and sizes can be confirmed on Tirerack's web site at tirerack.com.

By the way a 305/35 will be larger in diameter by 14mm, it is considered off spec

Michel- The diameter is not large enough to bother the ABS/stability control system, but the tire is too wide for the 10" rim. Several 612 owners with 599 wheels (11") have 315/35 20 tires on the rear with no problems, although that is not what I would recommend.
