Wow - just crazy over the MT thing.

I am not a fan of that interior color, but everything else looks very nice.

I've owned an F car with the bordeaux interior. That pix of the 612's interior aren't even close. It is far more wine colored than red.

I have a BMW with coral red leather seats and door panel insets, and black floor mats, dash, and door surrounds. Its been 10 years and I still love it!!

I have not seen many pictures of Ferraris with red interiors that look good. But I think this one does and I think they must look better in reality than in pictures.

I LOVE this car!!! If I could afford it, it would have sold today... Even if I had to include my red/tan 360 Modena...

Its way over the original price. They have another beautiful red/tan for $123,900. I was hoping this would be less...

are there really issues with backing up car destroying an F1 clutch? They seem so fragile in other forums. But I don't know if that is reality or myth.

    INSANE!

I can't imagine that they will get that. The manual thing has REALLY Softened up. Also, its a 4 seater.... they just never do well. For half a million you might be able to find a columbo car... a

Reverse gear on the 360 is very high and the clutch not as strong as the one fitted to the 456-612. On the 612, reverse is still too high, 1st 3.154, R 2.385, 2nd 2.176, so reversing up hills is not recommended, but the clutch is pretty strong. The one on my 575 (same clutch) is projected to live over 60,000 miles right now in mixed city and interstate driving.

Unless I'm missing something- 399 is at least twice as much as any better 612 with manual trans is worth nowadays

We've seen 612 MT usually for just under $200K USD - so, this price seems surprisingly high - nearly twice the usual amount.

Or, he could be implying 599 MT are going for over $600K USD.

Considering how similar MT & F1 are - you can convert one to the other - I just don't get this at all.

We have an MT for sale in Switzerland for 180K and for the moment it's sitting there
Personally I don't see the point of MT in the 612, I am fan and have MT on other case, but on the 612, I would call it an anachronism, like LED light in stone age. The F1 fits the 612 so well and if you have a properly set clutch it's just awesome.
Now color wise I like it, 612 should be chosen with Character, our Friend Jeremy recently bought the swiss limited edition and where i first thought it's too much seeing the car on pictures, in the flesh it makes me regret my relatively dull silver on black... Go for colored interiors, that's what Ferrari is about!
    but for 400 K, I am going for 512BBi, if only I could :-(

I owned a '83 512 BBi, I bought back in the late '90s when you couldn't even give them away. I even tracked mine. Although edgie, with a fantastic Flat-12 engine, it is woefully overrated. Basically, an over-weight, mid-engined GT car - that can never be good. A 612 can run circles around it. The earlier carburetor versions (365 GT4 BB and 512 BB) are more interesting. Stop listening to collectors.

    I thought that made sense~

Point being that we all agree the car's worth half the ask price on a good day two years ago

    Pretty combo though

I've had a 612 and now an OTO and still have my manual trans 456M- I'd love to experience a drive in a manual 612.

Has anyone had the pleasure? There are rare HGT cars with manual transmissions out there too. THAT would be interesting...

I had a 512BB for almost 10 years. It was fun, in a way, but very difficult to use for anything other than running down to Starbucks. It had no trunk space, so couldn't really be used as a tourer (although I left the spare tire out, and then it wasn't so bad). It was too big and heavy and under-braked to be much fun on the track.

    It did look good, though!

    Well stated and I agree.

The one cool thing about driving the Boxer down the highway was I never had a problem with people holding me up in the left lane. The car looks like a road-going UFO - people would literally dive into the median when they saw me in their rear-view mirror. :)

The MT 612 is the best overall car I have ever owned. Which obviously includes the best Ferrari, I sold all others and will never part with the MT 612. I would love Miller to sell one of these in the $300k range!!

Here is an excellent reference car that also shows the original window sticker that is more in line with the Yellow Compass TDF blue/tan last year. This is really interesting with the orange thread piping and insets.

A black car or black interior just doesn't appeal to me even though my daily driver is black/gray.
