Check under the intake manifold plenum and see if a hose has burst. If so, there should be a puddle of coolant under the plenum. There is a 180 bend hose under there that has proven problematic. As mentioned, undriveable until fixed. There have been attempts to update that hose with a stainless U section and hoses, if that turns out to be the problem.

I know I will sound like a jerk with this post and don't mean to but......

Given you did not know this is coolant (anti freeze), you may also not know that it kills pets so don't let any pets (cats / dogs) near it as if they lick it (and they do) they will be very sick or die.

    BTW, beautiful car - I love a black / tan 599 :)

Dave- Varies with location, some of which require a bittering agent in the coolant to prevent pets drinking it. Always good to make sure, like you said, because ethylene glycol kills dozens of pets each year.

^ it depends on which one you used i guess.

Got everything figured out, ripped a coolant hose. I have never seen any modern cars have problem like this, well, it's Italian right...

A split coolant hose can happen on any make of car. How old is your car and did you ever have the hoses changed? If its age, you might want to change your belts before they fail also.
