Sticky RX 599 Manettino Overlay - Factory Correct

    Greetings Folks,

    In development is our new, factory correct 599 Manettino Overlay to replace a bubbled or sticky factory overlay :)

    Note - these are not sold separate from the factory - the only way to get them is to order a new steering wheel :eek:

    This photo is a laser printed, paper draft. We are working to fine tune the art work and color matching now and these will go into production in a week or so.

    Stay tuned - they should be available in 4 weeks or so :)

    Note: We will also be doing this for the other models such as the 430 which is being developed now.

    Have enjoyed your pics and videos in your different threads. It's an impressive intersection of art and tech. Would it be fair to say, based on your experience, that F-cars in hot climates have bigger issues with sticky/degraded buttons and such?

    Thank you, Tom. As Engineers, my colleague Randy and I are about as OCD as you can get. I need to give him all the credit on graphics work though as he handles this stuff.

    Yes, the more hot / humid climates seem to be a bigger issue but it's not linear - we do lots of refinishing of cars in the NE that have spent their lives in the NE

    Is there any interior button you can refurbish? Apart from the rubber reverse button?

    Hi Rob - yes, sir - it's yours.

    We are finalizing some tiny details on the art work. Colors have been exactly matched. Probably 4 more weeks on the overlay.

    As for your sticky parts, they will be done this week. The parts that need laser work will get done tomorrow.

    Any thoughts on doing this for a 612? Mine has a scratch that is bothering me.

    I would need to have very high quality images or your steering wheel to replicate from. And, we would consider it but I'd want to gauge some interest first and doing these is a substantial investment.

    Let's see who the 430 and 599's move over the next month or two..
