Just for info: Blue Pozzi, Daytona seats blue inserts with dark blue carpets,6700 miles, nicer than I deserve.Appreciate all the input from the community. As an old dog who like to do his own stuff I am sure to pester about wrenching issues.Mike
+1. Something about a dark blue with iroko makes it extremely beautiful!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Congrats - love the color combo. I have similar interior in my 612; including the 60th anniversary plaque for 2007. Enjoy!
This is my first F1 car so I had a bit of learning to do as it was a250 mile trip.Forgot to click back into first at a stop light ,but did that only once. The car has new Michelin PSS"s. 315's in the back245"s in front,15 mm spacers all around. It felt glued to the road.Power and torque very impressive . Effortless highway cruiser. My cowboy days are over but this is a car that could get you into legal trouble very fast. Did use a bit of fuel on the trip home. In short it an absolute blast. Mike
Best advice from another thread, drive the F1 like a manual and you will love it, drive it like an auto and not so much. Love your car, I never have loved the spacers though on any 599, one of my favorite parts of my 599 in the way the front fenders overhang the tires on the top, a little old school on a modern super car.
Mike- You can just select neutral as you roll to a stop and not have all those wasted downshift cycles. If traffic starts to move before you stop, hit either paddle and she will select the highest gear in which the engine will run smoothly. Since that is nearly always too high a gear, if you use the downshift paddle, you can then downshift quickly for a useful gear.
Thanks Terry for the continued advice and to others for the compliments.Much more comfortable with the shifting as I drove a bit yesterday on back roads, not steady highway.Terry and others, if interested, look at my Battery Replacement thread ,post #7 and you can see my "old" stuff. Mike
Congrats on your beautiful 599. I have the exact same wheel/tire/spacer setup as you described. I think it's perfect.
