Congrats , That's great! I was going to enter Hillsboro this year but I'm out of town on business.. I'm hopeful that there is a good gathering of 612's at Italiano this year as I've entered my OTO. It's such a treat to see these cars out and about Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you! Fun to share the 612 since folks don't get to see them very often. Great reaction from those at the show. I'm looking forward to meeting you at Italiano and seeing your OTO - I haven't seen one in person! I hope we will be able to park the 612s in a group - that will be an impressive sight!
You're welcome Love to meet new 612 owners, look forward to seeing you at Italiano. Last year they had a 612 section, 3 cars in the group on the display field, and 1 additional car on the field being judged. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Such a beautiful car, very well deserved. Those rims... May I ask which model got first place? Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Tapatalk
Thanks! First place was a beautiful red 1992 512 TR. I wish I had a photo - too busy dusting off the black car! Third place was an amazing red 1962 250 GTE.
I love this photo - rare opportunity to see the 612 next to a 1963 250 GTL. The GTL was given a Perpetual Award and has been shown at Pebble Beach. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for the kind words! I wasn't expecting anything so it was very encouraging to get an award and to get recognition for the 612.
wow! knowing the other cars in the podium, adds even more to your 612's prize. Congratulations again.
Congrats. That picture next to the Lusso is more than ironic; IMO, the 612 is the true Modern Lusso - not the FF.
Thanks! I agree - the lineage is very evident. BTW, the Lusso owner was very gracious and complimentary of the 612. Another F car owner commented about the presence that the 612 commanded compared to the others. I think I've been sensitive to the size but hadn't considered that aspect.
Congrads and great pictures especially with the 63 250 GTL I agree 612 is the modern version of that car IMO.
Thank you! View of the two from the back. Also adding another shot of the Lusso and a reflected shot of a 328! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The round decals were used to identify cars that participated in the Tour de Concours which took place the day before judging. I thought the Tour would be a slow parade procession around the area but it turned out to be a nearly 3 hour rally around the SF Bay Area - back roads and narrow hills & twisties used mostly by bicycles and motorcycles. Participants were handed directions and had to find their way - lots of lost cars! It ended at the Shelby Museum in Martinez, CA which was pretty cool. Judges expected a little dust but took me several hours to re-wash the car for the Concours the next morning!
