AAAAaaa ha ha,, that’s right Free Shipping!! in five easy steps.

    1) Pick the crappiest shipper, PM me for name. Cost was $ 1,700.00 for 3,000 mi.
    2) Get a contract to ship rear glass in a crate. Crate glass and return to car location cost of .. $ 900.00
    3) Trucker,,,,,not even a Semi.! In a crappy little Dodge Dually, Refuses to p/u glass, because his truck is too small.
    4) Trucker breaks down at home? On, a three day weekend? (How convenient.)
    5) Trucker arrives with car in an OPEN carrier.
Thus,,,, breach of contract, credit card charges reversed. $$$$$ ;)

Next, my 1981 Euro Mondial-8 has been here for 10 days now. (Smile) And, she already tried to burn my beach house down with a bad fuel return line. She is quite feisty… but the engine runs fine

She is a fire bug, for she has done this before, I believe the PO had a little electrical mishap, enough to warrant complete submission to the electrical gremlins. (Anyway, she is mine now,,, good thing I know these cars… whew.)

All belts are a little old at 5 years from last major,, Thus, I must pull the engine and do them or risk a broken belt and ???? $$$$ !!!! (you know the drill.)

I am finishing inventory on needed items… Dou!
Fuel door, Check Control, Shift Grate, Inner Door Handle Cable … etc. (Help!)

    Stand By,, More to come..
(is our hobby crazy, or what?)

    Dave,

Yes it is the Mystery Machine..
No Books, not much history, good Euro engine.... .
I purchased her from another owner who wanted a Red 308 not a black Mondial. After he did a tune up, he realized that these cars can be a money pit,,, and he wanted a 308 anyway.

Thus, I got her cheap and now with free shipping my budget just got a $1700.00 boost. (You don't want to go upside down,,, right, or I should have just bought a 1989 T.)

    Happy day!

Actually no, this is an origional California car, very little rust.
It's pretty dirty in the photos. (Hard to wash w/o any glass.)
The bodywork was really top notch prior to the last spray, but I will be taking it down to below the Red prior to primer with SEM 42043.

Then, I will be painting her a nice PPG Nero.

    .

    Thanks for all your interest.
    Ciao,

    Mike,
Nice to hear from you,, Not gone from Colorado, but the 350HP Cab. is gone now.

It's down in Dallas. The new owner is very happy. Norwood has been under the hood now for the last two years, the car needed new injectors and a new Haltec system, the old haltec E6 had seen better days.

I contine to own property in Highlands Ranch,, maybe retire there. (really Cheep taxs.)

    Update,

    Last night.
Alternator bad,,, must have been the electrical fire! (Not in the harness, thank God.) Just a 10 Ga wire toasted under the fuel tanks... (Dou, must have scared the **** out of the previous owner.) (She is a fire bug, you know.)

    Top bolt out.
Bottom Alternator bolt stuck !!! (Yes the nut is off.)
Maybe they put a size 13mm bolt in a 1/2" hole?

    Is this an OEM unit?

    Thanks for helping.
    Saga continues.

Busy work ,, Yes. Fun, maybe?
(keeps me out of the bars.) wink

The bolt put in the alternator hole is supposed to be a 11mm, not a 13mm.)

    Wednesday night. (late)
I was able to spin the Bolt with an impact driver,, thus it will pull out.
    Drilled pilot hole.
    Drilled secondary hole.
    Ready for tap. (Tomorrow.)

Oh,, see my trophies ! !

What we have here is an intermittent short, from the Alt+ to the heat shield. (No wonder all the previous owners thought this car was possessed.)

Next, the same wire melted on the headers, under the fuel tanks! (Make sure that you have a 15 year old do you sterio install.. ha ha )

No fuel pressure, no 12V at pump. (I sware the thing worked last week.)
New independant fuel pump circuit to be installed.
Jump pump. Car starts and runs great, on the Foreward bank only! (AArrgg)

    Start at begining.
    1) check fwd compression,, all 170 psi. (Glad FORZA didn't lie to me, they are good guys.!)
    2) check rotor alignment. OK

    Drink Beer
    Tomorrow...

    3) check plugwires.
    4) check cap.
    5) check power to Digiplexis.
    6) check crank sensor OHMs.

Who Hooo, , see my new (old) Key Fob. (Donated by MIke, Newberry Park) Now if someone would just donate a door top for the Passenger side door, we would be on to something. ha ha

Sensers check out OK. (see photo)
The wires are crap. Carbon core CAVIS? (never seen them.....)

Thus, New cap, New brush, New extenders. (It's a good thing I got lots of stuff laying around, or this Ferrari would not be cheep anymore.)

    Have a nice weekend.
