    Whoa that is sick, a performance off-roader.

    I still don't like the taillights. They just snipped some of it off from the previous one, or so it seems.

    Aren't they making only 400-500 or something limited?

    Likely quite a bit more then that... I would be surprised if less then 2000 are made. That is a very low side estimate.

    Remember, this is still an F150. The Taillights will be the same as the 2010 F150.

    Sick? Expect to see this car in STOCK trim to run the BAJA 1000... and RACE trim :)

    This is the most exciting project in production auto engineering in the world right now IMO

    I read somewhere they were going to be limited, must not be the case. I think it was AutoBlog or some forum.

    Yeah, I know, I was just saying I hate the taillights. :D

    Thats so stupid to have the large "FORD" in front. Looks disgusting cool name though.

    I thought that the SVT name was retired?.

    Who is their competitor?

    Ford are in FAR better condition than GM right now...

    Additionally, the business plan for profitability is solid on the Raptor

    Not what I have read. If the new F-150 fails, they are in big trouble and their sales are in the tank as well.
    Just makes no sence to me. The development money should IMO have been spend elsewhere....

    Looks cool for sure....but I still don't see the point.

    Ford is in a very good position right now. After GM announced they are cancelling truck-based SUV's, Ford has the next gen Explorer back on. The F150 will always sell. It's always been the no. 1 vehicle in the WORLD. It is the highest-tech truck out there as is. This is a halo example of what the best that Ford can do with it.

    Ford have dev. to spend elsewhere as well. People forget just how much of Ford is privately owned.

    People will always need to haul for work. Your understanding of the market is perhaps a bit misled ;)

    Just on Fox News. All the US automakers are having their worst sales ever, including Ford. Sucks to hear, but ALL the US automakers are not doing so well now....I sure hope this thing sells for Ford. Seems to me like it might have to narrow of a nitch to fill....I think this is the first time we have disagreed lol....

    In relative terms; ford are in a "good" position.

    GM just announced $4.2 Billion in losses this quarter, and also, they burned throgh $6.9 Billion in operational costs. Nothing more has been announced at this time. This is a dangerous time at GM right now.

    Ford just lost $2.7 billion and are laying off thousands. That isn't a "good" position no matter how you look at it....

    I want a black Super Crew Raptor; even had a dream about owning one. Funny (sad?) thing is I never go further offroad than what a typical sedan can handle but damn these are cool rides. I guess no different than wanting a 200 mph Fcar and never going to the track.

    I just saw a silver super crew Raptor today when I was at the dealership picking up my old '94 F-150 from service, and she was wicked looking. I love my '10 F-150 super crew, but the Raptor really looked great.

    I saw one the other day going the opposite direction of me on the freeway. Even in all black its looks cool and really stands out. I'm not a truck guy and even I think these are cool.
