Check the drivers door for a tag.

Report the codes on it. Make sure the VIN on the tag matches the VIN on your dash.

If no tag look under the hood for the buck tag.

If your car was built in Dearborn (Second digit of VIN is F)
the buck tag will be on the front of the radiator core support on the passenger side just in front of the battery.


If the car was built in Metuchen (Letter T) the buck tag will be on the top of the drivers side inner fender panel.

I have a long term project 69 Mach1. Wimbledon white Red Interior 428 CJ shaker hood and 4 speed.

Order the Marti report. they can send the basic report as a pdf to your email.

 

Kevin Marti has the database of Ford Mustang production from 67-73.

Give him the Vin and some coin and sends you a report with all the details of how your car was equipped and its date of completion.

 

Pull up the carpet & underlayment on the passenger side. You might get lucky & find the build sheet, I have a 1973 Mach 1 Cobra Jet, "Highly Optioned", "1" of "1" according to Marti Report. I found my original build sheet under the passenger side underlayment.
