I had gotten kind of bored with the stock silver 5 spoke wheels on my 2014 C7 so....
I found a local powdercoater on the BMW forum, contacted them, and here we are. They powdercoated the entire wheel black, machined the spoke faces and lip, then clear coated the entire wheel. The company that did the work is Prince Wheel Services in Monroe, NC (25 miles east of Charlotte), just a magnificent job and, IMO, totally changes the look of the car (for the better).

    Hey Peter,
What exit off 1-77N? Usual Bat time as Charlotte C&C (7:30 - 11:00)?

Thanks. We copied the 2015 machined face wheel that GM is offering. They do the same thing on the Z51 wheels (black with machined faces/lip), looks great.
Weren't you asking about low dust brake pads for Z51's? If so, the pad that seems to get the most praise on Corvette Forum is Carbotech 1521.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely change to them soon. Cleaning the wheels with the stock pads is almost a waste of time. I'll have to look for some pictures of the z51 wheel mod. Sounds like something I would like.

Here's what the Z51 wheels look like with machined face spokes. These are NOT OEM (no "Corvette" cast into the lip) but you get the idea. Since your wheels are already black, all they would need to do is machine the faces and clear coat. Probably $100 or so per wheel. Mine were $205/wheel, for that price, Prince: took the wheels/tires off, powdercoating/machining the faces/clear coating, re-mounting and balancing the tires, and re-mounting the wheels to the car.

Thanks Jimmy, those look really great. When it's time for tires, I'll contact Prince. I'm in Charlotte at least a couple of times a year, so it's actually convenient.

Thanks guys. I think the wheels make a huge difference. They look like they are larger diameter, I guess because the spokes look thinner.
