Any owners here that would like to share their impressions?

As I age I do not want to give up the advantages of a 4-door cargo carrier that can be a reliable DD. I prefer the older body style...'07 era.

Pro's and con's of owning a SRT8, other than the MPG, such as maintenance and reliability?

    Thanks.

Had a 2008 SRT8 Charger for 3 years, and it performed flawlessly. I looked into the Jeep, but it lists for mid 60's , and seemed like too much money for what you got.

I have the regular hemi in a 2015 Durango, and it's got plenty of punch for this old drag racer. I believe the Jeep offers that engine too.

Probably falls into the top 5 of favorite cars I've ever owned. (out of over 100 cars) Loved it. Drove it from Mass. to Florida and back and had a ball. Never any problems with it. Wife complained about the "jumpy" suspension but it never bothered me. I actually like the look of the first gen ones over the current ones. That being said, the Hellcat version is awfully tempting!

    Very nice!!

I am privy too the 1st gen body style though and would not be buying new if I decide to take that route. I wanna school my brothers wife in her seldom driven, less than 10K mile, Challenger R/T anyway.

If memory serves me that was the initial issue during testing and was the reason for the delay, time to call Allison.

I believe it was 2011 when the new body style appeared. The 1st Gen just looks more muscular and mean but I do like the newer body style as well.

    Gotta Love that 6.1 HEMI !!! :)

    2008 Jeep SRT8... loooooooving it.

Such an astonishing sound, great acceleration from stand still, very muscular look.

I already replaced the awful original runflat Good Year by Michelin Latitude Sport 3 (275 - 315 combo), it really makes a great difference : the ride is much smoother and there is a lot more grip especially on the wet.

By the way, 1st generation SRT8's (WK1) are faster than new ones of 2011+ (WK2) even the ones with 8-speed gearbox. The thing is that despite the power increase on the new model, those are much heavier.

    Cheers from France

Very cool! I love those trucks!

Where was yours built? There should be a label, in the door frame maybe?
