650hp 650 lbs/Ft of torque. Due by January. Any thoughts?
My friend you are a lucky man! My 2015 Z/28 only has 505hp . My Shelby Mustang has 665hp and I love the car. Enjoy safely Lee
No kidding! What an incredible transmission. The calibration seems to be perfect, that's quite an accomplishment. I really like this car.
My neighbor is the engineering manager for the motor. He's been driving one for the past year and a half. They didn't even have VINs on them.
LOVING IT !!! Chevy absolutely NAILED the right balance of performance, looks and price. BUT ... i'm only at about 500 miles, so STILL not allowed past 4k rpm
I know !! But listen, no joke ... i've been fortunate enough to have owned and driven (ok, owned more than driven LOL) one hell of a lot of cars. I'm here to tell you, this new ZL1 is among the very best. Power, looks, sound, size, sheer "driveability" ... it's just about my idea of automotive perfection Still working the heel-toe downshifts, but i'm getting quite good there's flappy paddles for "rev matching" (I have the manual, as god intended) ... but i have no idea what they do I'd give the pedal placement a solid B+, maybe even A-, for heel-toe downshifting. The ONLY thing that's taking some 'adjustment' is that the accelerator is "long" ... you really have to move it a good fraction of an inch before you get to quick, crisp throttle response. That's not a complaint, really, just an adjustment. And the visibility is not bad AT ALL ... i have the seat adjusted on the "high" side, with still plenty of head room remaining. EVERYONE that sees it in person has been quite impressed This machine is a real winner ... can't imagine a more perfect 50th anniversary for the Camaro. OK ... one complaint. Even with 3.73 gears in the rear, first gear STILL takes you to 60 mph 30 or 40 years ago, we would have installed 4.11's without hesitation ... still may do that. My real, honest verdict? I love it so much ... i bought another one, in red
It's finally broken-in This damn thing is AWESOME. I don't even mind the gearing that much traction is a real problem, in at least the first two gears. The only complaint i have, right now? No CD slot in the dash. Seriously, that's about it ...
This Camaro ZL1's exhaust system is so loud, the airbags blow Sorry if repost. Car was so loud with open exhaust it blew the side curtain airbags at speed.
I test drive one today finally. I'm absolutely blown away. Pure violence. Maybe the most alive I've felt driving a car since 675Lt.
Thank you, sir. I'll do a decent write up on my thoughts similar to what I did for the i8 at some point in the future.
I think you will get a better response on here for that. I think some of the folks on the i8 forum have blinders on.
You aren't kidding . I like it over there, mostly good people, but it's i8 or bust. And there's also a number of PRIUS drivers in there which blows my mind. No one will ever convince me that an i8 and a Prius or anything and a Prius is a good combo.
