Arizona Koenigsegg... 410SA?

Posted on Autoblog today:

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/11/f...d-to-customer/

Quote:
It's taken a while, but Exotic Cars at Caesars Palace, Koenigsegg's sole authorized distributor in the United States, announced yesterday the delivery of the very first CCX to an Arizona customer. They expect to now delivery a new 'segg about every five weeks, meaning a little less than a dozen will be in the country at this time next year. Exclusiveness has a price, though: new customers have to deal with a one year waiting list and a $930,000 price tag.
(emphasis added)

I've put that information together with this post by 410SA...

Even better, an unpainted, all carbon fiber polished body - wow!
I have an order form. It's tempting.......
Any chance we have a Koenigsegg owner here on F-chat?

PS - I recently read 410SA's thread about "focusing his collection" and have followed his subsequent efforts to sell off some of his newer vehicles, so it would seem this is probably not a reference to him. But, it definitely is someone in Arizona - so get ready to see a Koenigsegg, Arizona F-chatters!

Not me. The price has become too much for what the car is IMO and the biggest downside is the lack of a local dealer and service facility.
It is a stunning vehicle by any measure, but the lack of operating history, the lack of reliable local service and the "newness" of the brand all make it a no-go for me.

For that kind of money I'm shopping for 40 and 50 year old cars with some tradition and history to go along with the nuts and bolts

I wonder if Caesar's Palace would service it?

The owner of the Koenigsegg is not on this forum, at least not that I know of. Has LOTS of cars and usually one of the first to get the latest greatest thing on 4 wheels. You should be able to see the car around Scottsdale Fashion in the coming weeks.

Ron doesn't really get into the "latest-greatest" when it comes to exotics. My building is next to his compound and I see his stuff all day-everyday.
Helicopters, yes, latest and greatest. Buildings, yes, latest and greatest. Tour busses, yes, latest and greatest. Sand Rails, yes, latest and greatest.

It is AZ car

It was delivered to an Arizona owner yesterday. All black, carbon fiber wheels, carbon fiber wing. Very stunning and impressive car in person. Top Gear set new fastest track time with it on their show.
