How about a thread where we can comment on our favorite Arizona drives? I'll start with my current all-time favorite: 89A from Cottonwood all the way over Mingus, through Prescott, then through Yarnell and back down to Wickenberg. Today I found a new one (the spark for this thread): Route 66 from Oatman to Kingman
Got lots and lots. Even have my own travel guidebook full of them. Via Corsa Car Lover's Guide to Arizona: Ronald Adams: 9780982571002: Amazon.com: Books
That's what I was hoping for in this thread, but guess you gotta buy the book... I'll add another...it's off road though (at least for a non-rally Ferrari): Any exit off I-17 up to Crown King and back. What a fun drive. I averaged just over 45 mph for the trip back down in a Suby Outback. Whatta blast!
Try this...it's the most popular, so maybe you've done this one? https://goo.gl/v21G0A multiple variations on this one. (a) Head back from Prescott (b) Head back from Jerome (c) Keep going up 89A to Flagstaff. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yup, Always love this one as well. When I get to Sedona / Oak Creek I like to keep going up 89A through Oak Creek Canyon and up the switch backs to the viewpoint and turn around and go back to Oak Creek. Lots of side trips off I-17 like Montezuma's Well and Cliff Dwellings
The 89A route was my original posting...I'll try the 87 next. Looks like fun. I used to fly all over that part of the state when I was in pilot training at Williams AFB.
