Will be In Japan in February and am interested in driving the suzuka F1 circuit, did a search but couldn't find anything

I remember seeing such "experiences" (with a vehicle provided) at Silverstone, but no luck with Suzuka so far. Could this be because of laws regarding insurance?

    Thanks in advance.

Don't know about Suzuka, but have done Fuji Speedway a could of times. (it is closer to Tokyo...) they have regular driving days and also events. I wa there on a Ferrari day organized by the dealer (twice) and the magazine publisher Neko Publishing does an annual event for Italian cars also.

Most normal car insurance is not valid on a track...

Did anyone find any info about getting on Suzuka?

    I found these two links:
    —鎭ƒT[ƒLƒbƒg | ŠeŽí‘–s‰ï‚Ì‚²ˆÄ“à

    ˆ¤ŽÔ‚ŗ鎭ƒT[ƒLƒbƒg‚𑖂낤Ibƒ‚[ƒ^[ƒXƒ|[ƒcb—鎭ƒT[ƒLƒbƒg

And translated them, but there isn't any useful info.
I also tried to email the circuit (which was a pain, because I had to verify many details falsely because I am not Japanese) and they haven't responded.

I also checked here, but no upcoming activities are listed:
    Suzuka - Trackpedia

Are there any FCA events or other 'public' track days?

It is difficult for travelers to drive Suzuka Circuit track by hired car.

Even if you have FIA license, you need to apply and take Suzuka Circuit original lisence per year.

After your taking our license,we will let you know our schedule, although next May schedule will be fixed at the end of this month.

If you have any question, please don't hesitate to let us know.

    Kind regards,

    Kenji INOUE

That's a tough one. I bet the track's liability insurance has a big say in the certification process. Would be great to drive that circuit though! That being said, a number of Japanese colleagues have told me they would do anything to drive Road Atlanta! Which I live exactly 10 minutes from.
