Hello, I'm looking for someone who lives in Japan who could help me : First : since two years I try to get some pictures of the F40 #40 at Suzuka in august 1994 : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/288gto-f40-f50-enzo-laferrari/45077-f40-lm-gte-48.html All pictures of the 1:1 are welcome or identifications of the sponsors. Particularly on the support of the rear spoiler, the bottom of the car and the roof... Second : please can you explain the japanese text visible on the photo below. He was present on the F40 #40 at Le Mans 1995. You have my thanks in advance Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. That is the Redline Docomo F40 LM. Raced the Suzuka 1000km around 1994. 2. The attached pic is a reference to a campy (as in both campy and also in the sense the movie is about camping) movie starring Kumiko Goto. She eventually married french racing driver Jean Alesi, but I think they were just promoting the movie. Weirdly, the font seems pretty unprofessional, more like a junior high art project than something that shold be on a $1.5M+ car... Hope this helps.
Pat, cannot help you much but the script says "Kumiko GOTOH (former TV personality as aforementioned), see you at the camp". w/ smiles Jimmy
Hey Jimmy, Anyone I can find used Porsche and exotic cars dealership in Tokyo ? I am there for a week early July, Thanks
D, if you are going to be in Tokyo proper, then maybe BINGO SPORTS in Akasaka would do. I believe they have a 288 GTO Evo in their showroom now among others. w/ smiles Jimmy
Jimmy, 280 GTO, nice I am staying at Hilton and if you or anyone is up for Coffee/tea .. Do let me know
Thank you for your help. About the F40 #40 at Le Mans in 1995 the explanations are : Promotion of a movie out in october 1995 with the actress Kumiko Goto who is Jean Alesi's wife. The title in english is "Let's me by camping" director Seiji Izumi with Kumiko Goto, Eugene Nomura, Anna Nacagawa, etc. In japanese : 「キャンプで 逢いましょう」 About F40 #40 at Suzuka in august 1994, I have no success in my research ! I still hope your help. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I do not hop on this forum enough. I live and work near Bingo Sports (I drive a 512TR). When I road my bike by today they had a 288 GTO, 2 F40s, and F50, a Miura, a Zonda and a Huayra. They are not the nicest people though and my guess is it is owned by gangsters.
After several attempts, I try here... Thank you for your help. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
