Hello everybody, I was @ this Concours event last weekend. It was held in Kuala Lumpur & a bunch of friends from the Lamborghini Club gathered for a short drive over to lend some support.

The event is pretty decent though nothing like those in US or Europe but a good turnout of over 100cars & bikes with the grace of His Royal Highness Sultan Ibrahim of Johor who's an avid collector & lent some of his cars for display as well.

Among the cars, there were some rare ones. RHD Porsche 993GT2, Bugatti EB110, DB7 Zagato, early 356s, Dino, LM002 & several Mercedes, British & American cars including a GT500 & the giant Eldorado. The Sultan arrived in style with a pair of his Mercedes 600 Landaulet!

Unfortunately, the venue is in conjunction with a small car fair so it was held @ some convention area with tiled ground & the hot weather is rather merciless :( well at least it didn't rained!

    Check out that imposing LM002!

The blue Bertone car is an Espada that was restored by a good friend some years ago in Singapore. The entire car was stripped down & a ground up restoration. I saw how he put the engine together & V12 is a beautiful engine. I think the wheels are Miura Campagnolo?

Oh my my. Never did I expect to see an EB110 in Malaysia, this is in fact the first time I've seen one.

That GT40, is not the real deal but a road legal track car nonetheless. It's wearing full slicks & very worn ones....

I didn't remember that the 997Gt2 had that front grille? ;)

Now these are pretty rare Porsches. All RHD & cabriolets. I was told that the split-screen pastel yellow is the rarest, probably a Type A? Anybody?

Anyhow, try finding a RHD 356 for sale now & you'll be surprised that it's rather tough as they hardly ever come up & often sold within days!

My favourite. A Zagato DB7 Vantage, V12, manual & Italian coachbuilt. It's probably the closest beauty to the legendary DB4GT Zagato.

Just look at the bubble roof & rear arch...

This unit don't seems to be registered & bears the factory Works department sticker so it could be the museum car other than the 99 sold to public so you can find them for sale occasionally. My friend's selling a one-off roadster version prototype in Swiss.

Japanese came too. That's a very rare Datsun convertible which I thought is a Lancia Fulvia as they seems to share the headlight.

That coupe is a rare 70s C110 Skyline which I've been looking for but they prove to be rather elusive & a lot of them heavily modified.

Sure mate. Good to share. A dealer told me that this car belongs to a Bruneian but he's a big sized Indian who likes cigar ;) Plate is a nice Selangor registered.

Yes, it is very well made. I've seen the other in Gulf livery with pics on my hp in a workshop & the workmanship is impeccable. I was told that someone brought these in from South Africa & wanted to start a series racing but only 4 cars were sold so it didn't go through. There's a sticker on the front lip that reads "Iris Racing" so maybe worth a google.
