    Hi,
Anyone here knows it can recommend a good workshop that can rebuilt a 964 :)

Basically strip down the entire car, full repaint and whatever is faulty replaced.

    Please let me know :)

Singapore is silly expensive and not worth the time :)

Bro you're gonna vomit blood dealing with the people there. Trust us. I can recommend you a few that I dealt with but caveat emptor.

Is this your project or if the owner is in KL & able to oversee it?

You must have a lot of time & patience dealing with them but if you have very high standards then suggest that you ship the car overseas to have it rebuilt.

Parts are also very expensive in Malaysia due to import taxes with up to 200% or more based on declared value & there's no fixed rate like our GST. I ever brought in two wheel bearings & the Malaysian 2nd link customs confiscated them. Each bearing costed me only S$60 but they asked for Rm300 tax on each!

Anyway, most workshops there buy parts from Singapore & labour is slightly cheaper but the saying goes, you pay peanuts & get monkeys. So do expect to pay high fees for better jobs.

In Singapore, I also gave up dealing with the few so called famous & cheaper workshops. In the end, the car was sent to Stuttgart Auto where they did an overhaul & bill came up to just S$9K+ surprisingly cheap with few months of warranty too (long list of parts were discounted @ 20%). It did not leak anymore & was trouble free from then on. It was a 964 too.

If you're looking at a complete strip down & rebuild then prepare S$100K for a fresh+trouble-free 911 depending on the condition of yours now.
