The best stories are the overnight chassis rebuilds like the time he stuffed the formula holden lola at oran park and had flown up that day from brighton corners of another lola ,got her going the next day and lent greg murphy gears out of bobs car so murph could knock of stockell in the gold star.I think Bobs kindness cost him the silver star that year.Good times and so many memories.
mate, if you're going to chat about racing lolas against elfins and the like, you can tell whatever stories you want.

No I hate panel damage my old carrera got wacked to many times buy another Italian the bloody Iso Grifo, but dont think it was cars fault but the driver her Strauss.
Knocked around mid field in Marque Sports in an old 911, then moved on to a group N Mustang. Scott (used to whoop your ass in the Alfa) said to ask when you were going to grow a pair again and start racing. He's been driving a Mustang in Historics too, of late and said you were a good competitor, albeit a little slow .
Couple of anecdotes about BM 1. When asked what the Lola was like to drive, Bob replied "Like trying to throw a hammer..........................................f**cking handle first!" 2. GP Rally '89 or '90 - can't remember - the field was assembled in a park at Shepparton Lake whilst a concours was happening. Not happy with the lack of activity, Bob removes himself to the nearest Speed Shop and buys all the "Powered by Chevrolet" stickers they had. Returning to the assembled collection, he surreptitiously applies said stickers to every Ferrari in the field - on rear panels, cam covers, inside glove boxes etc. 3. Same Rally - ongoing practical joking between BM and the "Mason" culminates in empty condom packets being distributed throughout the "Mason's" room for the cleaning lady to find. 4. Working on his car and someone gets in the way of the light and casts a shadow where he is working. Bob - "That light has come 93 million miles to get here and you have f**cked it up in the last 3 feet!" Bit of a character is Bob
Think my old carrera fixed him up more then he did me. mid field yea how does a sc historic beat a gt3 or a 360 challenge. slow I dont see his name on the Victorian Historic touring trophy . when Im getting back to racing , when are Cams f off till then think i might keep kicking the Sherrin around the park.
