why on earth would a 360GT be sold thru pickles?

A 360GT would cost at least as much as a Michelotto! The first batch of 360GTs were built by Michelotto (mainly from 360CHs) and subsequent 360GTs were built in-house at Ferrari.

Just checked http://maranellomotorsport.com.au/ and it's chassis no 2014, and they have its for sale/sold (?) price at $540,000 which is the same price as 360C's 360 N-GT.

 

err.. no RMV.. all 360GT and N-GT are built by Michelotto... without exception... ALL N-GT are converted 360C's.. all 360GT's are built from fresh parts

that MMsport ad is so old it's from when Piva bought it...

It's unlikely to make this auction... it was supposed to be in the last auction.. but some back room secret stuff went on... it's likely to sell pre-auction...

Fowles Brisbane had a crashed 360 about three weeks ago up for auction too as a reparable write off. Just for useless information ...

i was at Fowles yesterday and i asked my rep from pickles to give some info over, it works out that the book in was set at 300k, and because there hasnt been any go up under a hammer for yonks they didnt know what to put on it, if its booked in the the Govt then they would only want whats owing to them and not interested in the real value.

 

so in english, it's got nothing to do with "wrongly declared tax"...which is just as well, since the same people imported YOUR car! (i think)

 

i at first got told about the tax issue however details are sketchy as we go to press and it could be govt confiscation, once i find out will let u in on big brother
