Any fans out their of this great 50s icon?
just read what Speedcore put up,the Lancia brothers ARE regarded by many as some of the greatest engineers of the 20th century.Google Lancia D50.
I think that's the coloured section around the nipple. Aureleole (sp) or something. It's spelt areola: http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/content.php?page_id=1110
Yes, just reading now. They pioneered the V layout in engines. V4 in 1922 and the Aurelia had the 1st V6 production motor.
They're are Beautiful cars and recognised as the worlds first true GT...think they came second one year in the MM only beaten by a Ferrari with a 4.5 or something. I'm a big fan lots of info on Vivalancia.com.
Lancia Stratos is my favouritest car ever, and the Lampredi twin-cam is something i could talk about all day. still doesn't make some of the early stuff any prettier.
Yes, very very keen on the brand, a Italian icon, of which last year was its 100 b/day. Also good to see as a b/day present, Zagato is making a complete new?/old? Aprilia-Sport from just 2 photos! The Dialogos in the 90's was vastly more advanced than anything from Germany @ the time, Lancia gave one to the Pope, but never put it into mass production... Great for me: "Stress-free driving: Sophisticated technologies are cleverly used to stay one step ahead of motorists' demands and adapt to their habits, moods, and current **mental** and physical conditions" Landmark brand which Fiat are just now investing in and rebirthing, and RHD is in the program again Forza Lancia! "Never enter Karussell when on the brakes! I have gone round there on the roof, I know what I'm talking about." - Sabine Schmitz "Aerodynamics is for people who don't know how to build engines." - Enzo Ferrari M
Me too Does look low in the front though? Any idea who this dude is and where he is located, might pop in for a cuppa.. Nice video, skip past the escort bit, 3.30s+, best till last: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8K25X_tAsQ
Lives in Jacksonville Florida... Purchased an ex Gregg Car Delta Integrale from here last year. Ex factory works car that was driven by Biasion in one of the rounds in 88 or 89 when he secured the world Championship...
Beppe has left us :-( https://www.rally.it/2017/04/cera-volta-race-peace-beppe Voltaracing - Historic Lancia Rally
Very sad. I dealt with him 10 years or so ago, when rebuilding the 037 engine. His english was much better than my Italian and he couldn't do enough to help. His son was active in the business and I assume will continue - Volta are the centre of the universe for Lancia rally cars.
Beautiful little jewels but oh so very competent Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
