    F&M Vulca S Launched
Another truly exclusive supercar has just been released to the market. The Vulca S made its debut earlier this month at the Salone Internazionale del Lusso in Vicenza.

Only ten units of the 630 horsepower Vulca S will ever be made. The S-badged Vulca follows up on the "base" version of the supercar, first shown off at last year's Geneva show. That car is priced between €280k and €340,000.

Pisa-based Faralli & Mazzanti's Vulca S is completely handmade in aluminum, with OZ Racing wheels, and Continental Italia tires. The 2+2 coupe also uses a data system from AIM Sportline. Front and rear LEDs and quad exhaust can be seen outside. Inside, you'll find an upmarket stereo, what appears to be a wood trim, power seats, and two center-mounted LCD screens. One of these likely provides speed, RPM, and fuel information, since there are no gauges in front of the driver. Hand stitched quilted leather rounds out the package.

Each Vulca S will carry an individual number. Pricing for the car was not mentioned, but there's a good chance you can't afford it anyway.

World's Lowest Priced Car Tata Nano Officially Launched

The ultra-low priced Tata Nano is now available for purchase in India. Orders are now being taken for the three different models, with the car hitting showrooms India-wide on 1 April. Delivery of the cars will begin in July.

Tata's affordable city car starts at 1 Lakh, or 100,000 Indian Rupees. In today's exchange rate, that corresponds to just under 2,000 USD, or about 1,450 euros.

Because of an expected rush on vehicle purchases, the company has put in a selection process where customers may apply to own one of the first 100,000 units produced. All those who apply and put down a deposit by 25 April will be put into a random drawing to determine the new owners. Application fee is Rs. 300 ($6), with the deposit costing Rs. 3000 ($60).

Don't worry; if you do not get chosen to be one of the first 100,000, you will have the option of taking your deposit back, or earning 8.5% interest on the deposit against the price of the car. By 2010, the Sanand plant in Gujarat, India, should be producing as many as 350,000 vehicles per year.

Built with an all-new aluminum 2-cylinder 33hp 624 cc petrol engine, the four-speed car comes as the Nano Standard, Nano CX, and Nano LX. The Standard comes only in three color choices, with a folding rear seat. The CX has heating and air conditioning, five colors to choose from, two-tone seats, assisted braking, and a parcel shelf. Step up to the LX and you get power windows and locks, fog lamps, mobile phone charger, and rear spoiler.

Of the car, Tata chief Ratan N. Tata said, "The Nano represents the spirit of breaking conventional barriers. From the drawing board to its commercial launch, the concept, development and productionisation of the car has overcome several challenges."

"I hope it will provide safe, affordable, four-wheel transportation to families who till now have not been able to own a car. We are delighted in presenting the Tata Nano to India and the world," he continued in a press release.

The company also showed off a proposed European model at this month's Geneva show. It is slightly larger than the Indian model, and would have a more powerful three-cylinder aluminum engine.

    Rolls Royce200EX
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dD6W9M2gug

Rolls-Royce has released additional details regarding their 200EX concept car that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month.

Essentially a preview for the as of yet unnamed RR4 entry-level production model, the 200EX features a new 6.6-liter turbocharged V12 engine that produces more than 500bhp (373kW/507PS). This is significant because the concept was originally expected to use BMW's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine from the recently launched 2009 BMW 7-Series, it also means that the 200EX boasts more power than Roll-Royce's top of the line Phantom which has a 6.75-liter V12 engine that cranks out 453bhp (338kW/460PS) and 720Nm of torque. In another Phantom trumping move, the 200EX features a new eight-speed ZF automatic transmission for unparalleled fuel economy and responsiveness.

During a preview event ahead of next month's New York Auto Show Rolls-Royce's CEO, Tom Purves, said that the "RR4 will deliver an authentic Rolls-Royce experience to owners, so expect peerless comfort and build quality. However, we have consciously engineered this car to be more involving and dynamic for those owners around the world that will wish to drive it themselves."

According to Rolls-Royce, further details will be released over the next few months as production of the RR4 moves closer.

That's true, but they are selling them in record numbers, so BMW has guessed it right.

The latest rumor regarding Bugatti is the born of its new Veyron Centenaire Edition. For those who don’t know, Bugatti has been established 100 years ago, in 1909 and this year’s Geneva Motor Show will be the place where the French manufacturer will celebrate its birthday.

Some of our sources confirm the fact that the new vehicle will deliver almost 1350 hp while the top speed will be increased to over 420 km/h. Also, the vehicle will feature a custom body kit with plenty of carbon fiber just like the new Bentley Continental GT Eco Supercar! More details to be revealed! Stay tuned!

    New Golf GTI

Perhaps the next best thing after driving a Golf GTI up and down scenic mountain passes is watching a video clip of someone else doing it.

In 1976 the Mk1 Volkswagen Golf GTI was the budget driver's dream car with its 4-speed gearbox and 81 kW (110 PS) 1.6-litre engine. Today the GTI makes 155kW (210PS) and 280Nm of torque from its 2.0-litre TSI engine. It will go from 0 - 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph). VW says it uses an average of 7.3 litres of fuel per 100km (38.7 mpg UK). Standard issue wheels are 17-inches but there are 18s available as options.

VW is harking back to this icon with the new GTI. Unveiled as a concept to the public for the first time at the 2008 Paris International Motor Show the Mk VI GTI boasts plenty of garb that many bigger more expensive cars cannot match. In styling the car the team kept the original car in mind. The red frame around the outer front grille is typical GTI and sets it apart from "lesser" Golf models. It has single chrome tailpipes on either side, a GTI rear spoiler, a rear air diffuser, an electronic diff lock, smoked taillights and green tinted windows. The brake calipers are painted red.

The GTI moniker appears on the left instead of the right as it was previously done. The car itself is longer and wider, and it looks more muscular as well. The interior features things like stainless steel pedals, radio/ navigation with a touch screen and heated front seats.

In a few days sales of the new 2009 GTI begin in Germany, in Europe within the next couple of weeks, and America and Asia follow towards the end of the summer.

Spain's first supercar will be officially launched at the end of April. Manufactured by GTA Motors, the GTA Concept's real name will be revealed at the launch. A total of only 99 units of the two-door supercar will be produced.

Powering the GTA Concept is a V10 engine producing 780hp (574kW) and 920Nm of torque. It uses a 7-speed sequential-manual gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Full automatic drive can be activated on demand.

After three years of development GTA Motors has completed the car's track testing programme and has declared it a success. Figures released claim it will cover the 0-100km/h dash in under three seconds and achieve a top speed of 350km/h.

Pirelli P-Zero tyres measuring 255/35 on 19-inch wheels up front and 335/35 on 20-inch wheels at the rear are fitted. They are made specially for the GTA. Sitting inside the wheels are carbon ceramic ventilated disc brakes with ABS.

The suspension system uses a double wishbone configuration which can be adjusted to raise the body. The chassis is crafted out of a combination of Kevlar, carbon fiber and titanium. The roof is a glass panoramic type and it has a patented interior lighting system and liquid crystal shading.

EV Innovations, a company based in Mooresville, North Carolina, USA is launching two battery-powered cars at the 2009 New York International Auto Show. The first is the Inizio EVS sports car which runs on a lithium-ion battery pack. Its AC induction motor is mounted mid-cabin. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. EV Innovations states it will go from 0 to 60mph in 4 seconds and be able to reach a top end of 170mph (274km/h).

At production the Inizio is expected to weigh 2,400 lbs (1,089kg). A full battery charge should take about eight hours through a normal household electric plug. After a full recharge the Inizio would be able to cover a distance of 200 miles (322km).

The second car to be showcased is the more passenger-oriented Wave model. The Wave will have a top speed of 80mph (129km/h) and a range of up to 170 miles (274km/h) per charge. The Wave will be priced from US$34,900 and the Inizio will commence at US$139,000. Although deliveries aren't expected to start until 2010, EV Innovations is already taking deposits for both models.

Lexus is planning on unleashing its much-awaited LF-A sports car at the Tokyo Motor Show in November according to InsideLine. The LF-A had previously been thought to be dead in the water, however, later stories of its resurrection surfaced. Lately it has been quiet on that front until now.

This bodes well for the Tokyo show which at some point was being considered for closure this year. That doesn't seem to be realistic for now but the authorities are saying the show will be cut by four days. Some major exhibitors like Mercedes-Benz, General Motors, BMW, Nissan, Lamborghini and Volkswagen have pulled out of the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

Big international motor exhibitions are but one of the side industries being affected by the sharp slump in motor vehicle production and sales. It was only days ago that reports suggested the British Motor Show was cancelled from 2010.

The Lexus LF-A would be powered by a 600hp (441kW) Lexus V10 engine and be capable of sub-5 second 0-100km/h sprint times. It was supposed to be the Lexus challenger to what was the next Honda NSX but unfortunately for Honda fans that project was canned in line with cost-cutting measures.

Another probable reveal will be the rear-wheel-drive sports car jointly developed by Subaru and Toyota. The car is powered by a compact four-cylinder engine capable of 220hp (162kW). In keeping with the times Toyota will showcase a new range of hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles as well.
