Anyone heading off to Mcleans Bridge this mothers day? I whish they'd move the date so you don't feel guilty about pi**ing off to a car show and leaving mum at home with the kids!!!
I took the whole tribe last year and dropped in at Mcleans then headed off to Tamborine for lunch. That was when we lived in Brisbane now were up the coast ( another 2 hrs from Mcleans) I've been told it'll be a solo effort. I remeber one year at Mcleans seeing a poor old mother/grandmother sitting in a black alfetta in the sun, pretty much passed out due to the heat. Happy Mothers Day MUM!
David Hack Memorial is on in Toowoomba this Sunday - always a good day as much for the planes and other stuff as for cars (Italians are usually a minority). I'm not going and probably skip Mclean Bridge as well this year; just a bit 'been there, done that' feeling at present...
Some pics from the last ever McLeans Bridge show....well at McLeans Bridge at least. Next year it's moving from McLeans to Lakeside and will be the Sunday after mothers day. Finally I won't have to do mothers day on Saturday anymore!!! LOL! I got excited here last weekend over the Lancia Zagato because I didn' t recall ever having seen one before and then there it is at Mcleans Bridge! Another familiar car as well
Id have one or the other! Euro ones best suits me as they came with wider seats apparently. I would have thought the USA cars would have wider seats...........ya know.
LOL! No I made sure everyone knew the cars were being babysat this time as I had a problem once before when my phone kept ringing with people wanting to make sure I knew where my car was!
