Is this car still in Australia?
ohhhhhhhhhhhh....i remember that car. he was the pres of the ducati club at one stage too, wasn't he? he raced something years ago....don't know about recently.
all i can remember is all these hookers out on the street,I locked myself in the car, while he bought it.
No idea,it did have splined wheel hubs. I drove it a fair bit,I suspect it did have a 246 engine as it moved along at a nice rate. Mind you I've never driven a 2 litre Dino.
very little power difference and the 206 is 40-ish kg lighter, so performance very similar. I think they upped to 2.4 litres for Fiat engine production in response to the 2.4 Porsche. Did it have the headrests on the seats or the firewall?
are we talking about the ex Sam Johnson car, where he put the 206 engine into his Dino F2 replica, replacing it with a 246 for the road car? If so, that was the factory RHD prototype, a very significant car.
ah, I know it. It was pale metallic green. Definitely a modified engine. At the 89 FNR, we had a drag down the straight at Calder, started rolling in 2nd at same speed, same revs, both floored at the same time, he drove away from my standard 246 like Horse drives away from Moretti! ps. that was the rally where PP got FTD in his F40. He was so cool then, what went wrong?
don't know when Peter had it say 1982 to about 1986 it was red in colour, perhaps the next owner repainted it, reg was QLD pony246? and VIC reg PJ246?
