Is there a decent NSW based FOC worth joining? I'm looking for one that runs decent concourse events, day drives, track days, tarmac rallies etc and generally full of hands on enthusiasts rather than posers?

    nope

QLD has a great club but we wouldn't want you .... we like posing and lattes :p

There is only ONE club for Ferraris in Aust, Ferrari Club Australia

Download the form (click on join the FCA link first) and send it in with all ya details plus BSB and account number for the Nigerians :p

You will have to put up with KIAI and his Daytona with the poofter power steering in NSW along with Greg246 who doesn't actually own a 246, PSW who can't drive out of sight on a dark night with his lights turned off and other well known dignitaries :)

I just logged into the FCA website, what an out of date thing it is :(

It was at least useful to some extent when WRXMIKE ran it but now all the information is years old , maybe we could give PP something to do and have him update it and he could start his own kingdom while he's there :p

Could you imagine that, a forum on the FCA website where PP was the mod and chief bottlewasher ? :p

As Moretti said, there is only one Ferrari club in Australia ( it's a national club) , it has divisons in each state that run events. When you join, you become a member of the national club, and you can attend events in any state.
All the states run a concourse each year and drive days. Some states run tack days ( ie NSW) The club does not run tarmac rallies.
There are also some specific events limited to certain cars, ie Lowe rally for carby cars, McKay rally for front engine V12 carby cars. Other events are the Red Line tour and the National rally.
With regards to the people, like most clubs there is a broad cross section, so you should be able to meet & make friends with people with similar interests.

We don't need rallies to find the right roads.

Not sure what you have in mind when you say "decent", but here is a run-down of what's happening in NSW - a full calendar of events for 2013 ranging from track days (next is full circuit at Sydney Motorsports Park in May), breakfast runs (e.g. week-end before last), lunch runs (e.g. in a couple of weeks time), week-ends away (e.g. July), tours lasting several days (e.g. May) and of course, participation in the national rally with its concours, drives, track day, etcetera (October this year in ACT). Also, an excellent concours (September), plus informational or social events such as tech nights, picnics and dinners throughout the year and an end-of-year Christmas party. Overall, a broad cross-section of events to cater for the diverse needs and wants of members of FCA in NSW. Join and find out.

    Cheers,

    Grahame

Thanks Grahame. I'd found the website linked in the first reply here and it's out of date and has no info and to be honest I didn't fancy sending them any money.

Is there any way of contacting anybody about upcoming events so I can go along and meet some people before becoming a member?

    Matt
