Got a heads up from FCCQ that the current scheme is under review... Only 6 clubs (Qld Fed Motorsports, Street Rods, MG, Mustang, Historic Motorsport, and Qld Motorised Sports club) were invited by the department to comment and vote on 6 options for changes ranging from keeping the current rules to versions of Victoria's logbook system (ranging from 1 Sunday a month (little old lady going to church?!) to 90 days a year) and various combinations. Apparently discussion is now closed until the department releases more information in April.

One difficulty with the logbook schemes as proposed is they're proposing that the CLUB be responsible for the accuracy of the logbooks, which seems a very stiff imposition, particularly on smaller clubs.

    Just sayin'...

Sounds like too many bureaucrats with too much time on their hands talking up a job for themselves. For goodness sake, old cars rarely hit the Tarmac once a month anyway, why not just adopt the UK position ....." They are too few and too old, just waive the fees, these cars are no longer a means of transportation, they are recreation"

I haven't seen anyone complaining about the Vic system.

Be good to have something similar
