    I mentioned some time back that my boss is fighting a major health battle. Well, she's fighting as hard as she can but has made the (eminently sensible, IMHO) decision not take on any new projects and wind the company down. Unfortunately that means I, together with the office manager, have to stand down all but the senior core staff tomorrow... It sucks... Just an incredibly sad day for all involved.

    It's the downside of any smaller company Karen, however often it happens it never gets easier.

    But no matter how hard, it's not your fault and they will find new opportunities.

    Thanks guys... Prospects for the staff are actually OK, no fear they'll pick up good jobs quickly but it's just so sad to break a good team. Our office is quite unique in that there's no office politics, no cliques... just a really good team. I'm also just so sad for my boss who built an award winning practice over more than 15 years, supporting 70 people out of nothing...
