    I like the idea in as much as one is given a choice. I find it abhorrent that the Government seeks to interfere with increasing restriction and compliance upon our lives. Any decrease in the amount of interference can only be a good thing in the long term.

    Singapore has an interesting model regarding personally imported models. The official dealer is under no obligation to service or repair such vehicles. Of course this has bred a thriving non factory supported service industry for personal imports.

    Doubt you'd be so thrilled with the Singapore registration tax though! Not sure what the current rate is, used to be around 100% of the car value...
