Naah,I'm having too much fun waiting for it to get rego'd.

Bloody morons up here wouldn't register it yesterday 'cos someone in Victoria had the chassis number as well as the DGM number down as the chassis number!

They,Vic,also had it down as a Dino,not Ferrari,although the transfer paper I received from Vic says Ferrari.

The mob up here said it has to be inspected,Marc took it up this morning,inspected fine,bloke at Caboolture rego office says the mob up here should have believed the RWC paper!

He's gunna send Atherton mob a fax telling 'em that,as well as the bloody inspection cert.

....then maybe,one day I'm gunna eventually fly down and bring it back!

 

Yeah...that was weird, wasn't it? There was another issue too....the engine number was assigned to another car that was financed. But of a head f***, but it didn't matter because I was keeping it as vic rego. I can see why it'd be a pain for you though.

 

Oh Jees that can be painful. When I registered my glass 308 in 1997 the bright spark at Vic Roads wrote the engine number down as F106021O1608 instead of xxxxxx01608. All was fine until about 2 weeks later when I received a letter from Vic Roads asking to have the car presented at a testing station within 7 days.

So I took the car back, spoke to the chap at the desk desk and clearly bored, said; "Well, what should it be" so I told him to change the "O" to a "0" and he did it on the spot, and never looked at the car.

Of course you only find out if there's a problem when you come to sell, or buy!

Latest 308GT4 on car sales only lasted a couple of weeks, advertised at $47k
Red/black, ( shields !) don't think it was Oz del, quite a it if work done, no mention on last belt service. Simmons wheels. The seller didn't over talk the condition, a good driver!

 

Wooohooo,rego'd today....Vicroads and the drongo's in Dimboola were to blame for the F#$kup.
