Yeah Ash there is actuallt some home video footage of this. When the car crashed if became a bit of side show with people driving past, slowing traffic down and people getting out to have a look. One guy actually had his video camera and i recieved and email with the footage. I think this happen on the main road going up Victor Harbour. I heard that the guy had just bought the car, drove out of Prestiage on Glen Osmond Rd and was heading up to Victor to show a relative the car and stacked it.
that's the road to Victa is it? well he certainly turned his car into a lawnmower. what's that bridge there? looks more like the Sedan area or so. care to share?
It def. happened up in the south area either going to Victor, or one the way to sellicks or McLaren Vale. as the for the email i would love to share it with. Just find the prick that stole my Laptop last year and i will pas it on...
The same thing happened to a client of mine a few years back with his 360.......except he hit some loose and dusty gravel on an apex, etc, and flew off the corner and flipped a couple of times.....walked away too.... This 360 body has exceptional crash integrity IMHO.....the only other vehicle I have see do this first hand is a 993.....and the two occupants walked away as well after crashing at 165 kmh.......
LOLLLL. Smoking a cigarette!!?? I though this only happened in movies. I remember seeing this a long time ago on that site. As long as he is ok. That's what matters. Vasco.R
Nice find ash. I actually travel that road almost every second day. I checked out the corner a few days after the prang and found some broken (Ferrari) body parts. What I saw is pretty much summed up in the description. The guy was definetly heading away from Victor Harbor (towards Adelaide), on the 8th picture, the skid marks would have begun just after the bridge, skid marks which show that the car just spun out, then cars wheels left spinning tracks through the weeds/grass. The tracks show as it reached the lip of the hilly area it got airborne, flipped and then came to rest. Looking at these pictures i'm even more amazed the guy survived. I think it was proved he was on the drink before the accident. Nice way to learn a lesson, drink drive and write off a Ferrari (which insurance would have laughed at if he made a claim). Ferrari01974, could you describe what is in the video?
I have the file. It just shows the aftermath of the accident - the same as the stills posted. My ftp is dodgy atm ....I will upload it tomorrow
