Hey everyone. Anybody out there who likes driving their cars....A Lot? I've had my 430 Spider for 5 weeks now and put just over 4000 klms on it. Would be fun to catch up with some other Ferrari owners over a drive and coffee. I'm going to the Qld Ferrari Club motorkhana on Sunday out at Lakeside, so will no doubt meet a few people there.

Welcome Gezim! I was waiting for you to make an appearance here in the Aussie section. :)

Great to hear you are still driving the wheels off your 430! Join the FCA, they have drive days all the time in your area. Looks like a lot of fun too.

Who knows, you might be able to score a few customers also.

If I knew you were keen to join us I would have showed you weeks ago.

Starting off your first posts in the Silver Section made me think you didn't want anything to do with us and I don't blame ya! :p

Jeez Pap! I'm blaming you for my lack of replies then! I'm off to the Ferrari club motorkahna at Lakeside on Sunday. I'll be able to join up on the day and meet plenty of Ferrari heads like myself. I'm looking forward to it!

I know Freaky. I'm bucking the trend. I just can't bear the thought of seeing it in the garage. It's like being married to a super model and not having sex with her.

Great day was had by all at Lakeside.
Good to see the younger family members getting involved and enjoying themselves.
It poured down at one stage but that made it even better for the hoons that turned up.
G.T. in his Moosealago put on some exciting driving showing his Rally driving background,
and T.B. in the Alfa was smooth as usual.
Gizzi found his way to the track and seamed to enjoy himself.
Welcome, there are plenty of other lunatics for you to meet so don't be to quick to judge the club on who you met yesterday!

    Thanks Gleggy!
I had a BLAST. Shame the best we could do was 2nd gear, but was still fun to hang the arse out around the track a bit. Everyone I met was great and friendly. I was talking to Leona for a while and commented that, as a cyclist, the social side of the club was just like my cycling club. Everyone is keen to help and offer advice if asked, especially if you are a 'newbie'. It didn't seem to be 'aloof' at all. To be honest, I was half expecting a bit of that, but I found just the opposite. All the members I met were Ferrari lovers since the beginning of time, and just loved their cars. I couldn't pay my membership fast enough! It was a case of 'Shut up and take my money!". Looking at the national rally coming up on the GC. I think it would be fantastic. Thanks again Gleggy, it was great.

I have booked my accom. at the Swell resort which is in Burleigh. It's about 20 min drive. The wife and kids are coming along for a holiday as well, so I needed the 2 bedroom option, self contained. Unfortunately the Royal Pines doesn't offer these options. Looks like I could be catching taxis to and from the Swell!

Well there is only one Ferrari club in Australia, and there's very little difference between any of the regions in how they operate - they are all very welcoming to new members - Queensland does not have a monopoly on that :)

Oh BS,Qld has more of the enthusiast, apart from Dario(!!!!!!!),rather than the latte crowd.
You,Mike, and a few other long term Fcar owners, are an exception.
