OK so after a 39 year wait(but having never given up hope!)I can finally realise my teenage dream and buy a Ferrari. Like most I'm constrained by budget to a degree and with that in mind, a 360 spider is the candidate. My preference is red/cream/manual but I'm pragmatic about all of that.I could go grey/modena/paddle shift and still be ecstatic. I've past the financial hurdle at last, but can't stretch to a 430.The plan is 360 now, trade up to 430 in 4-5 years then a 458 in about 8-10 years when they are hopefully relatively affordable.
For practical reasons irrelevant to this thread I prefer to wait about 12 mnths before buying, but there seems to be a fair number of posts on this forum around current upward price pressure.

My question is, what's the consensus on the likely price movement in 360's over the next 12 months or so?
I could buy now if there is a consensus that 360 prices will likely move up significantly in the short term?
I realise it's crystal ball stuff, just looking for informed comment on those with vastly more experience than me, given it's my first.
Thanks in advance for your time.

It is of course never going to be much more than a guess, but IMO prices are as low as they are likely to go. In fact I think they have already bottomed out and are probably on the way up.

At least, that's what I keep telling my brother, who may be in the market for one in the next couple of years.

There are a lot of 360s, and on top of them the 430s. 430s are moving under 200 now, so for 360s to get up to 150, I think anyone would step up to a 430. Earlier cars have moved up yes, but post 360 cars are still depreciating and I can't see a significant increase in 360 prices. But given market sentiment, if I were a potential buyer, I would buy now rather that later. They aren't going to get any cheaper.

360s are not getting any cheaper. I recall seeing rough cars for $80k on carsales a couple of years ago, but now they're at least $100k. A good one would probably be $120-$130k.
Buy one and enjoy it, they're great cars to drive and reasonably inexpensive to own (nothing $10k can't fix!).

They are great cars lots that you can do yourself, belts can be pushed out to 4 years just make sure they have not gone hard/brittle on the tooth. F1 and manual shift use the same gearbox, if you drive like a **** or sit in traffic for a long time you will have clutch issues.

360's in Sliver are best :)

Can't see them going lower. The 80s ferraris are around 60 to 70 in some cases. A 360 is a lot better car and is pretty good value compared to other f cars in the price bracket.

I never really liked my 360; but different strokes for different folks.
The 430 is SO much better it isn't funny.

Values influenced negatively by serious production numbers and potentially serious maintenance costs on an aged vehicle? Nice machine to punt around a bit until you get sick of it, just not an exclusive F car. Personally I do not have enough confidence in the economy, as a business owner to predict the values of these cars will actually rise in the next 12 months. I could be wrong though.

It is good to see them holding or just going up a little in value.

    Hi
Looked at that car last week It was originally owned by a brother of a guy I race with at Shannons Nationals and he confirmed the low mileage The books show it has been serviced each year and belts changed a year or so ago Its certainly in as new condition but I thought that with 5K of use by me each year it would negate the price premium of this very low mileage car
