Does anyone how many were delivered? Also how are they specced ie colour etc. Why can't you register a LaFerrari in Austrlia specifically? Is it because the volume of cars sold is too low? Crash tests? LHD? So an f40 was not road registerable but because they are over 25 years old you can drive them under a club/historic rego? So once a LaFerrari is over 25 years old than it would be fine to drive if the legislation stayed the same? As a side note, I found some info about the oz f50s: https://redsprinter.wordpress.com/2013/07/31/ferrari-f50s-in-australia/ Is this correct?
We have a Pagani Zonda registered in NSW with the rego: PAGANI As far as I know, we have 1 delivered LaFerrari at the moment. It's in WA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks. That's the only one I found so far. I have heard there were anywhere 6 to 20 ordered/allocated but it's probably closer to 6 to 10, if that.
Yes there was one brought here but I believe it was delivered elsewhere. I think it's out of the country again now.
3 La Ferrari allocated to Australia, one to the each of the dealer in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. 2 have been delivered, ( WA and NSW) possibly the third now as well. Likely that the cars will not remain in Australia permanently, can't drive them on the road anyway and the taxes are enormous so the owners keep them elsewhere. M
The picture I posted before is from his garage It may not be in the country anymore as you stated though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If only it was that easy It took the importer 12mths to get that car registered. It was running on trade plates when it came to the 2005 Ferrari Concorso in Sydney. They tried to bring the Ariel Atom to Australia but failed to pass ADR's. Lots of "new car" RHD cars don't make it People can get around it with personal imports etc. Wow it's been 10 years since I saw that car Image Unavailable, Please Login
FINALLY!! Here is a ATOM that finally passed and is road registered. Just buy a Yamaha R1 almost same performance, save $200k 2004 Ariel Atom 2 Auto
Wow finally big money, even given the effort that's gone into getting legal and all the mods IWHWWTS. With the new import regs we may see more of these.
As mentioned in the ad, it took the guy 18mths to get it registered in Australia.... It's not a simple or cheap process.
Are the new import regulations (2018 onwards) really going to influence imports like exotics much though? Forgive me if I'm wrong (haven't read into it too much yet) but from what I understand by the time you import a new car from the UK/Japan, after you've paid associated costs (import duties + GST + LCT + other costs + accounted for exchange rates), it isn't really a saving. Of course I'm going on what I was told after a discussion with a licensed importer regarding a new car purchase from the UK after 2018 (Ferrari 488). From what I was advised the savings weren't huge if anything at all and resale would be affected as it would be an 'import'. Unless there are changes to the RAWS or something I don't know about whereby importing older/used cars will be made easier? Either way not sure an Atom is worth this much money! At least not for me
I totally understand whats involved and it is actually easier in Victoria than NSW Hopefully Duncan Gays efforts may free things up, at least NSW has a 60 day club plates now. I learnt this morning to be eligible to be able to buy a La Ferrari you needed to have bought 3 new Ferrari's in the last 12 months and own at least 5..
Black LaFerrari landed in Tassie yesterday for the start of Targa Tasmania. Apparently only down until Wednesday and not doing the full tour. Lucky sod whoever is driving it.
Is it HYKERS? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9cvnvwxF4g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3sqmTaL6n8 EDIT: It's Tony Defelice (VrrTony495 www.instagram.com/vrrtony495)
There is a red La La Ferrari in Melbourne that shares garage space with an Enzo, F40,F50 and a 288 GTO....and other top end toys and no , its not the Fox collection either! Grim
