Hey Guys I had a 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider that my brother just got into a accident about 4 days ago now. Is there anyone in here that knows of anyone selling a shell? Or a 360 with no riding gear? If so can you please get in contact with me on this. Thank you.

Sorry to hear and I hope you Brother is ok.

Where is the damage? Front or rear?

Which parts in particular do you require? Major components or just panel/body work stuff?

If you can let us know how big the hit was we might be able to put you on the right track Joe.

Without trying to offend, unless you're a panel beater and you don't care about your own time/expense,I can't see how that car could be worth repairing..

I'm seeing at least $100k damage there and at the end of the day you will still have a $150k car that was heavily damaged that would owe you the same amount plus the original purchase price.

I'm seeing a cut your losses and part it out car..again without trying to offend.

Why would you build a Frankenstein car with stories? Who is going to buy a 360 with a shell from a car whose guts went bad, and has the guts of a car that was written off? You will never sell that to anyone. Go buy another 360 and SELL the spare parts you have...much better option.

I only mentioned this out of two recent experiences with damaged prestige cars..

    Case 1:
2005 Maserati Gransport, very minor rear end damage..only things that were replaced were boot lid, small carbon fibre boot lid spoiler and rear bumper...
Cost was $27k to repair...nothing was bent at all.

    Case 2:
1997 F355 spider, front end damage which included new bar,hood,lights/blinkers and assemblies
front grill + emblem, and a few other bits and pieces + complete respray..
Cost was $79k to repair,,again nothing was bent.

The Maserati was really surprising as you had to look close up to see the damage as from a distance it didn't look bad..
The boot lid was very expensive and took forever to source as well, think it was $13k from memory.

Both not my cars but people I know,,,lucky for them though they had insurance..

Without seeing the car you probably have around $30k in parts if you were to part it out yourself.

Greensborough Highway Patrol members are appealing for witnesses following a five-car collision in Reservoir this afternoon.

A grey Ferrari 360 spider coupe was travelling south along High Street when it’s believed the driver attempted to overtake and crossed into oncoming traffic, initially colliding with three cars before smashing head on with a north-bound Mazda.

A passenger in the Mazda, an 88-year-old Reservoir woman, was taken to The Alfred with life-threatening injuries while the driver, a 59-year-old Prahran woman, was also taken to the Alfred with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ferrari, a 23-year-old Brunswick man, and his passenger, a 22-year-old Coburg man, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 41-year-old Thomastown woman in one of the other cars was taken to hospital for observation.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash and has yet to speak to police, or who saw the Ferrari driving in the area prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
