I'll start. The first Ferrari I had a ride in was a 250GTE in around 1983. It was owned by a character who was well known in the Ferrari club up here. I couldn't believe the noise from the car, it was brilliant! It also had mufflers with huge holes in them, faded paint, worn trim but was enjoyed immensely by the owner. His wife was also a bit of a character, and a true enthusiast for Ferrari.
Sounds more like you're talking about the car rather than the people. Mostly, all I've met so far are weak minded back stabbing fwits who have no back bone and lie through their teeth. There are maybe two exceptions.
So bitter. I was starting at the beginning. It was another 10 years before I met some jerk who couldn't stand being beaten by a superior driver in a slower car.
Its funny you say that b/c literally everybody on this Ferrari journey has been great.....in fact, the only time I felt backstabbed was just very recently-by the way, a back stabber in the Ferrari world is someone who tells you your car is great and you shouldn't sell it and privately, call it a rusty imported **** heap bought from the father of a dodgy Ferrari mechanic.
Oh I see.....I guess I wasn't listening when you said it. I get it..........its a rusty heap of **** but I shouldn't sell it. Didn't you say you were trying to give me encouragement with the car? PP's words of encouragement "Hey Ren, your is car is a UK imported rusty heap of **** bought from Phil's dad. You ****ing idiot" Duplicity is it?
What does it say about you and how you see the world when you can say this? I assume you must be jesting.
a rather gay mechanic once said to me about the Ferrari community "most people are eccentric here but that's what makes it interesting". I reckon he's spot on. We are all characters and some of us are more "eccentric" then others. This something that should be celebrated and respected.
all posts during that era would eventually end up with the same stuff: Melbourne is a ****hole Kew slappers Jag is great, MG even better, you lot have know eye deer Ferraris are ****, you lot have know eye deer Terry is great I'm having a glass of champagne in my backyard I met some old biffos for lunch/dinner/driveday and spoke about cars no one remembers or cares about Racing stories from yesteryear
I haven't met anyone interesting since owning the car............................ strange, oddball, eccentric, KKs, etc but no-one interesting Some of the above statement is true
