Grand stand seats are under $75 for 3 days. I have a camp site booked but can't use it now so pm me if you want it I'll send you the ticket FREE.
And the big Bentleys are back, though experienced fast pedaler John B may not be behind the wheel this time round.
I don't understand why Karen. i did something similar with Porsche Australia in 2010. It was a heavily subsided Porsche Australia sanctioned event which included accommodation, a dinner and presentation by the Porsche museum curator and staff. Total cost I think was $1,500 plus fuel and my time to drive down to Bathurst and back. All up we had 165 Porsches from all over Australia attend, including several from as far away as Perth. I remember 165 Porsches, because we had 3 Groups of 55 Porsches on track at a time. It was a great sight to behold. KIAI and Moretti would have loved it. We did a bit more track time. All up, I completed 48 laps. We were able to go as fast as you wanted, with full race conditions, pace car, flag marshals etc. Best thing I've ever done carwise. It was a dream come true.
All up the Ferrari offering is over $5500 for 3 days !! They had to break it up into daily offerings to get people to go
I see. I don't think that is too bad at all to be honest. I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. The track is beyond awesome, and are you likely to get another opportunity?
The Bathurst event is a Ferrari Australasia initiative open to all Ferrari owners, I think it's great they are willing to take a risk and underwrite and fund something like this for Ferrari owners (as they did with their Clipsal event in 2015 or Ferrari Racing Days in 2014). It is what it is, it probably won't appeal to everyone, but then again attendance is not compulsory either ! M
Sorry I don't see it this way... If Ferrari want to underwrite track days (great idea) why not do it directly with the clubs in a simpler way. These sort of 'exclusive' overpriced ($1995 for 4 track sessions with 50 cars?) really don't sit well with me. Some years ago the FIAT club held their annual rally in Bathurst and managed to get the circuit for a few hundred bucks per entrant - if they can do that surely Ferrari can as well. See Wes' experience as well. Just out of interest I checked the hotel advertised rates - 3 days over Easter: $852. I don't care how much money people have, I don't think anyone likes being ripped off.
