    Great morning at Lakeside with all kinds of interesting machinery ranging from 308GT4 up to 458, plus Tesla, a special built on a Commodore base with Merc V12 ( not my cup of tea, but well done), Mercedes A45 Targa car and more besides. Some good competition between folk and all managed to stay shiny side up. Son of Enzotech was really setting the pace in his Mini and is definitely going to be a young driver to watch. Thanks to Allen for the ride in the Exige, Littledino for a great fang in the clubman (hurry up Gleggy, you're missing all the fun) and David for the lap in the gorgeous Alfa 4C. I think all the Ferrari ladies ended up besotted with the little Alfa... Really feels like an Italian sports car should, hugged tight!

    The "F40" really is an abomination, only made worse by being a QLD FCA concours winner :rolleyes:

    That 458!!! Wow!! One of the nicest I have seen in that colour. Amazing machine!

    Thanks for the video too. Your car looks and sounds great. Capristo exhausts are the best.

    Yes gorgeous 458.
    Sorry Gabe, that's not my 328 - that's the 'other' Karen's car (my 308 was parked up on the grass). Believe it or not, out of less than a dozen female owners in Aus, there are 3 Karen, a Kate and a Kelly!

    PS: there was a motorcycle racing going on, and on the other videos we made you can only heard the bikes -- really annoying. That is why on my video we have decent audio only on the first run. For the other runs I had to use the (bad) audio from the GoPro.

    It is. Current keeper has had it for around 12 years; it's now his track car and his 355 is mint. He's also an Alfa man and nice guy all round. Expect to see his wife in a 4C pretty soon, I reckon!

    It's a pile of s$%t made from a LHD 308 GTB,by someone who should have known better.
    FYI,he sold a black 246 Dino and kept that...thing.

    this reaction is a perfect example of why replicas should be hounded from existence.

    I have yet to experience any replica owner, when confronted by an admirer, actually say "my 250LM/330P/F40/etc is actually a replica". They will always attempt to carry off the deception if they can get away with it.

    As for the QLD FCA giving that sad "308+body kit=F40" a concorso trophy for "Best Competition Car", it is a lasting discredit to everyone involved.

    They changed the category to "Competition/modified" , asked me to include my car (well it was the only real competition car there) to make the numbers up.

    Then proceeded to mark me down for things that I qualified for (eg the age points were not awarded - I've still got the sheet) and I didn't have the tools/books with me as I never enter these events but they knew I had them ..... Charlie's and Len's cars were still battle weary from the historic racing they did so I thought Satan had a reasonable chance even with no cleaning/books/tools but Gleggy nearly fell over when the "F40" was awarded the trophy and I just burst out laughing :p
