Me and a few other blokes are planning a Tassie trip end of November with our cars. Any ideas on must do roads, recommended accommodation etc? Plan is four or five days over there.
Not going to invite some of the guys from here? Smart man, I wouldn't either. A LOT of them will tell you Tassie roads are some of the best driving roads in Australia. Looking forward to joining them one day in the 348. Sounds like you and your "mates" are going to have a good time Steve.
I have the road book that we used for the McKay Rally in 2012. Anti-clockwise lap of Tassie, many of the great Targa stages, all good hotels. I'd be happy to scan and email it, if you weren't such a whomo-phobe
Thanks, Ian. That would be much appreciated. Will send you a PM so you can email me your map of Tassie. What I meant to say was: There's only space for one whomo on this trip, and as I'm already going...
He's afraid of being embarrassed in his hot-rod. Is it possible to hire a track for half a day? One of the guys reckons Symmons Plains is worth a look.
Hire out the airport like those boys did last year. Was cheap as chips too 360C said. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Tassie is a great holiday driving destination. Once had breakfast in Launceston, lunch in Hobart and (late) dinner in Burnie and the Hobart to Burnie drive included a detour up the east coast! Will be back there next April...
That makes sense, why invite Horse when you know he'll crack on to all the best looking blokes before you can.
how about we make it the NTGG in 2018? I won't have time in 2017, as I'll be doing the McKay rally. Borrow the 365/400GT4 and join us Feb/March no good for me because of Phillip Island, but late March or April OK.
