Some beautiful period footage from 1967 showing the debut of the Lotus 49 at Zandvoort: Watch: Lotus 49: First time out | Motor Sport Magazine Nice to see the mercurial Keith Duckworth keeping and eye on the proceedings.
Wonderful. I recently read Graham Robson's book "The Search for Power", highly recommended. All the DFV's and variants were machined by hand, no CNC machines, just incredible precision craftsmanship.
Another crap year, did not win one race, a few podiums i think, and beaten by the Maserati combo in the standings.
