This will seem like a silly question to most of you here, I'm sure. But why does the flight crew need mask's ? Of course i understand the need for oxygen at altitude, but is the aircraft not pressurized etc, i cannot imagine the passengers have to wear such devises...thx

She looks good, even flying that old dinosaur!

Larry Flynt had a blonde GII captain for a while, I believe-- is it her?

I know another good looking blonde who is typed in the GII/III, but she mostly flies Citations now (and is the DO for a midsize charter outfit).

The oxygen masks are in case of a loss of cabin pressure-- the crew still needs to perform in that scenario, the passengers just need to survive.

Since the time of useful consciousness is so short at high altitude, if one pilot leaves the cockpit, the other is supposed to wear the mask. For that matter, if it's a charter and they are at 35,000 or above, both pilots are supposed to wear the mask. She clearly knows the regs and is following them. Maybe Gabe is an FAA inspector?

at the levels they fly, one only has a few seconds to rig a mask befroe losing it... there is not enough time to fumble around for it... simple version... it is mandated that the pilot must wear a mask at altitudes 25000 msl and above

If it's not a charter, you are supposed to wear it above FL410.

And, given that that airplane is certainly older than she is, and probably older than you are, it's not a bad idea!

Something else which is priceless-- the airplane in your pictures is a GII. I have to assume you know (or believe) that she is typed in the GIV and GV because she told you she is.

The funny thing is that if the genders were reversed, that is exactly the sort of thing a dorky pilot would say to try to impress the pretty girl!

she looks like a teen ager... is this a publicity stunt... she doesn't look like she is out of HS, much less this being a full time job...

there is a lot of stuff about being the youngest pilot to....

I work for General Dynamics and am based in Savannah. There are several very talented, and very beautiful Gulfstream Pilots / crew members that I have had the pleasure to meet, or just see in passing. I know female AirForce officers are recruited heavily for Cooperate work.

I say good for her, and i hope she inspires other young women to choose a role in Aerospace. it sucks to be around a bunch of old dudes all the time. :) :)

there's an Fchatter (former Fchatter?) who has taken flight lessons from her. all reports is she's an excellent pilot.

interesting career change for sure :) overall I think she's great for aviation and more than just a pretty face.

She's a bit controversial, to say the least. I believe she can be litigious, so I'll leave it at that, but Google is your friend.

In that case, yes, but I would look more carefully into her history before drawing any conclusions.
