Are there any out there big enough to carry a person? Anyone have any experience? Seems like an obvious thing, except maybe it would be really big and noisy. Should be easy to fly, though...
Yes, but..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L75ESD9PBOw A little more advanced, but as of yet unmanned https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L75ESD9PBOw
You gave the same link...I am guessing the first one was supposed to be different and ended in a mishap of some sort? Thanks for the link. Great stuff. Now it needs to be paired with some cool aerodynamic housing including cockpit with a streamlined canopy, a swept wing that takes over the chore of lift once decent forward airspeed is achieved, and a couple of mini jets to provide that. 250 knots sounds reasonable to me.
It looks big enough to take a person into the air: [ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=tNulEa8LTHI]Volocopter VC200 First Flight - YouTube[/ame] I guess they just haven't gotten to that phase of testing yet. All the best, Andrew.
Heck with it, I need the exercise anyway! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syJq10EQkog]Atlas Human-Powered Helicopter - AHS Sikorsky Prize Flight - YouTube[/ame]
LOL! Well, that seems every so slightly problematic. All the best, Andrew. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
