I had missed seeing this, but the number of flying Mosquitos in the world doubled last month when this B.35 flew in Victoria, BC. Considering the differences between the F.B.26 and the B.35, having two flying Mossies that are each unique is a good thing. Hopefully at some time the two aircraft will be able to fly together. My uncle started this project in the mid seventies, using two airframes, HML (now flying) and a mexican mossie (spare parts/templates). he sold it too bob jens (current owner) when age and money got to high. his original idea was to restore to flying condition, then, for just one time, install two zeuschel race merlins and attempt the capture the absolute piston powered speed record. as a kid, it was very interesting to listen to my uncle and dave zeuschel discuss what it would take. dave said that with two Reno race merlins, the mossie would capture that record. still a good idea imho: )
