The Telegraph posted some photos of Walt Soplata's place I haven't seen before, including some cool cockpit shots. I'm actually surprised there's anything left there, as popular as the story is.

If there were any old threads about Soplata I've missed them. Anyone have any stories to share?

Cincinnati has a connection that most of you already probably know about. In the 60's a B-25 carrying a load of exotic animals landed on its belly at Lunken Airfield. The plane was aptly named "Wild Cargo". It was abandoned, auctioned off and purchased by Soplata, later to be sold and restored.

I love the cutlas and the YB-36.

If you go to warbird information exchange you will find plenty of threads and pictures.

Wow, first pic is a Navy Vought Cutlass... those weren't that common when they were current.
Underpowered finicky engines.... not a great plane.

    But, no horizontal tail.
