Just ordered mine. After I read it I'm going to wrap it and give it to my wife for Christmas. I figure that will be better than jewelry...

No but I'm sure it rode several planes to get here!

Nice hefty size, large print, quality printing, nice job Bob!

(Forgive the poor pic quality, camera phone lens broken, havent taken time to file warranty claim.)

    Please Breathe! :D

I stole a few minutes after work to read a few pages of the introduction before putting on my dungarees and go work in the shop to take advantage of the warm weather this afternoon. Very easy read, I will probably be through it by the weekend.

Thanks. I think that I posted before that the book has a lot of works that were in color. We wanted to do it in color but the book price would have been out of reach. So, if you want to see what some of them look like in color you can go to ParkzArt.

Bob, I am happy to report that I am halfway through the book, you can rest easy about the choice to print in black and white. Your storytelling is painting full-color and vivid pictures in my mind.

Thank you very much. I just received my big box of books this evening, 1 week early. I will start signing tomorrow and mail most of them Monday, Dec. 1 or Tuesday. I found a couple of little glitches but that's the way it goes.

Thank you. I have had one criticism so far, from an older male who, even though he is a retired hydraulics engineer, said that the book got too technical and hard for him to comprehend in the last half. I was afraid of that because it is pretty heavy into the 707, 727 and 747.

In the aviation threads I find the need to search for terms/planes/acronyms regularly .. all an enjoyable part of it to look it up and learn new (to me) stuff and I'm glad it is that way.

I honestly feel a bit bad that I didn't think of putting a glossary at the end of the text to describe some of the terms or to use familiar language in the text. Perhaps I should do a companion to flesh out some of the technical stuff. It's not technical to some of us, especially to those who have indulged in the av-business. My mistake but it was a huge part of my life.

Bob- Got home tonight, so will order one tomorrow.

All us aviators are horrible about acronyms, but that is the way we lived. Not enough time to spit out all those words. Besides which, we used a bunch even we did not know what they actually represented.
