I wonder what kind of sanctions does the captain of Ryanair get from mistake like this? All well at end, enought time to react but not the smartest move, wonder why he started to land without permission, must have been long day and tired?

Interesting comments after this news article about the event
Incident: Ryanair B738 at Tallinn on Dec 22nd 2014, loss of separation on runway

Says that the Estonia Tower does not grant landing clearance over the radio until the previous aircraft has cleared the runway.
Other airports will clear more than one plane for landing when they are positioned with enough separation in sequence, but Estonia does not.

So, the RyanAir Boeing 737 was probably waiting for a last-minute verbal clearance to land on while they were on short final.

Since the Tower knew the position of both planes, you'd think the Tower would have instructed the RyanAir plane to do a go-around while still on short final.

Good job for the pilots of the RyanAir flight to initiate their own go-around before touching down.

The result was an amazingly short touch-and-go landing by the RyanAir 737.
The 737 climbed quickly and was well above the FinnAir plane that was still at the end of the runway.

guessing that all "thumbs" were deployed, delaying the aircraft from clearing the runway...
something usually associated with low time general aviation pilots,
