    One of the issues was that if you could get through your first 10 missions against an enemy MiG, your survival rate went way up. A few US pilots were so awestruck at seeing a real MiG the first time in Vietnam, they sort of lost prioritization on killing it. The idea was that your first 10 missions against MiGs would now be in Nevada, and your 11th was in real combat.
